Schedule
Day 1 : Cochin | 40 kilometers |1.5 hours drive]
Upon arrival at Cochin International airport our representative will meet you and later you will be transferred to your hotel.
Kochi (Colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala.

Day 2 : Cochin
Fort Cochin was a great emporium of trade, a harbor filled with ships, streets crowded with merchants and warehouses stored with goods from every port of Asia and Europe. Beginning with the Chinese and Arabs in the 13th century, the Portuguese arrived in 1500 A.D. followed by the domination of the Dutch and British. A large number of trading communities exist with 14 different languages spoken at a time. Cochin continues the tradition of welcoming visitors with its customary warmth and hospitality.
You can cover the Dutch Palace which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and was presented to the Raja of Cochin as a gesture of goodwill. The Jewish Synagogue was originally constructed in 1568, but was destroyed by Portuguese in 1662. This was rebuilt two years later when the Dutch took over Cochin. The St. Francis Church, said to be India's oldest European-built church was constructed in 1503. Having died in Cochin in 1524, Vasco da Gama was buried here for 14 years before his remains were taken to Lisbon.
Day 3 : Cochin –Munnar[135 kms|3.5 hrs]
Breakfast. Check out and drive to Munnar.
Munnar is a beautiful and peaceful hill station covered with unending expanse of tea plantations, with an altitude ranging from 1600 to 1800 m above the sea level. This hill station was the favourite summer resort of European settlers for centuries. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Check in at hotel for 02 nights stay.
Day 4 : Munnar
Post breakfast, enjoy a guided trekking programme at Munnar (Letchmi hill Trek)
The trek will start through the tea plantations for about 30 to 40 minutes, After reaching the top of the hill, rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc, in a clear sky day we could see the Anaimudi “highest peak in S. India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which listed as highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in
India. We will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, Later walk continues through the best places to spot some endemic birds of this part of Western Ghats. Will have another 40 minutes to 01 hours walk through the tea plantations to fnish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MSL..Drive back to your hotel for overnight stay
Day 5 : Munnar – Alleppey[140 kilometers / 4 hours drive]
After breakfast check-out from the resort and drive to Alleppey. On arrival, embark on a Houseboat .12 noon is the standard check in time in houseboat .You can enjoy cruising in houseboat till 5:30 in the evening and boat will get halted in lake for an overnight stay. While in houseboat there are options for arranging narrow canal cruise(extra chargeable) ,through the palm fringed canals; watch the Paddy fields, village folk; relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind & waves. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Cruise till the evening by then the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay. (Next day, cruising starts at 8 am.)
Day 6 : Alleppey – Mararikulam [40 kilometers |1 hour drive
Post breakfast ,disembark from the houseboat and you will be transferred to the Beach destination Mararikulam. Mararikulam is one of the best beaches in India offering idyllic beach stay experience. The beach is untouched by modernity and looking exactly as it would be hundred years ago. Marari is a very relaxing beach retreat and good for swimming and is very Private.On arrival check into the hotel for one night. Rest of the day is for free at your leisure. Overnight at Mararikulam
Day 7 : Marari-Cochin[60 kms|2 hrs] Drop
After breakfast. Check out and drop at Airport for your onward flight. Aboard the flight or train to your destination. Now with some great unique experiences of unforgettable tour, have a return journey with utmost satisfaction. And yes! You are always welcome for another extravaganza.
