Day 1 : Bangalore – Mysore (3 - 4 Hrs | 145 - 150 Kms)
Arrival at Bangalore Airport, meet our representative and drive
Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar dynasty, which ruled the state of Karnataka for around 150 years till the independence of the country from the British. These kings were great patrons of art and culture and the princely state was the cultural capital of the south. Mysore is a city of palaces, gardens, shady avenues and sacred temples and retains some of the old world charm with its many institutions that propagate Carnatic Classical music and dance. Check in at hotel for 01 night stay. Later visit Chamundi Hills, which is topped with a 12th century temple of Durga with the magnificent 5m tall Nandi, Carved from single piece of granite in 1659, its one of largest in India.Afternoon, sightseeing of Mysore covering Maharaja's Palace, Art Gallery, Chamundeswari Temple and Devaraja Market. Day 2 : Mysore – Coorg [2 – 3 Hrs|115 -120 Kms]
After breakfast Move to Coorg.Located amidst imposing mountains in Karnataka with a perpetually misty landscape, Coorg is the place to be for all nature lovers. This popular coffee producing hill station is not only popular for its beautiful green hills and the streams cutting right through them. It also stands as a popular destination because of its culture and people. Coorg, officially known as Kodagu, is the most affluent hill station in Karnataka. It is well known for its breathtakingly exotic scenery and lush greenery. Forest covered hills, spice and coffee plantations only add to the landscape. Enroute visit the “NamdrolingMonastryBylakuppe” – one of the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. [Visit at monastery subject to permission]. Post visit proceed to Coorg and check in to hotel of stay.Madikeri is the region's centre point with all transportation for getting around starting from here.
